One of the primary reasons that someone should have a Personal Fitness Trainer is to learn how to perform exercises effectively.  If you are not properly executing a movement pattern correctly you increase the risk of injury.  As a personal trainer, I can help you make important changes in your lifestyle habits that can lead to greater success when combined with exercise.  Many individuals get stuck in an exercise loop.  They will go to the gym and perform the same exercises with the same weight week after week.  This leads absolutely no where, and many individuals get frustrated with the lack of progress.  As a personal trainer, I can help familiarize you with concepts such as linear progression, concurrent progression, and adequate training volume.  Knowledge is key to workout progression and achieving goals.

What Is An Exercise Physiologist

An Exercise Physiologist develops fitness and exercise programs that help people recover from medical conditions such as chronic diseases and improve cardiovascular function, body composition, and flexibility.  They also assist with recovery from injuries that require professional exercise advice.

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Northern Iowa

  • Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American Council of Sports Medicine

  • Certified Personal Fitness Coach through the International Sports Sciences Association

  • Certified Wellness Coach

  

I give presentations to groups on Health and Fitness.
